"Depression Songs" - DOR3 (Rapper)
Design & Photo Retouch: Shir Danon (that's me!), Photography: Tamir Moosh | 2019
The concept behind the debut album cover design was to represent what sets DOR3 apart from other artists in the category –  the uniqueness, the contrasts, and the distinctiveness that the artist brings to his music. Therefor in contrast to the album title, the centerpiece of the design is the rapper's broad smile, while the album title is being displayed in a 'vintage' aesthetic, contrasting with the futuristic style of music that the rapper is taking pride in.

In DOR3, there is hardly a single element that isn't deceptive.....There is a surprising combination between his appearance and his last name.....of the contrast between his flow and lightness and his seriousness.....that same contrast is repeated in the title of his debut album, 'Depression Songs,' and in its cover. "There's a lot of depression in the songs" he says, but that didn't stop him from featuring, on the cover, a close-up of his huge smile, framed between a mustache and a goatee. His name and the album title float near the tip of his nose, in '80s fonts, an aesthetic that was in fashion several years before he was born"

"3017" - DOR3 (Rapper)

The cover illustration brings life to DOR3's 'origin story' as a rapper, in which he is an alien from the year 3017 – a darker future where the driving fuel is the ability to create and entertain the 'sheeple.' The cover depicts the artist floating in outer space, recording music on his home planet in front of a microphone connected to an ATM displaying the album's name. In the upper left corner, there is a spaceship with the letter D on it, representing the album's producer.

"I always say that I'm an alien that came from the future. 3017, that's the year I come from" explains DOR3 when I ask at the beginning of our conversation about the name and cover of his new album that was released unexpectedly two weeks ago. He shares that in the future, the world is going to be quite dark, with not too many people: "Those who remain are the ones who need to drive the world or entertain those who drive the world"....

The cover features a messy room of a girl lying in her bed. The clutter in the room consists of objects and illustrated motifs from the mixtape's songs, and combined with the blue-purple color scheme it evokes the feeling of a cold winter evening, reflecting the isolation that often comes with spending too much time indoors, commonly associated with seasonal depression. A poster of the artist hangs on the wall, while the album title appears as if written on a fogged-up window, from a sense of despair.
"Orange Season" - Collaborative Mixtape by 4 Rappers

The center of the design display an orange bandana. The bandana is a clear symbol from the rap culture accessories, while the orange color represents the name of the mixtape as well as the color of the city from which the group originates. The imagery and symbols of the bandana conveys the group's vibe and music style.
Among the illustrations, there are Molotov cocktails and ninja stars that reflect the raw and dark style of the lyrics and beats in the mixtape, alongside Hamsas and disposable bongs that represent the group's roots and the atmosphere of the area where they grew up.
