The key objectives for the branding project were to create a consistent look for Talka's Instagram page
and to develop design guidelines for client communication materials
(such aexplanatory pages, customer SMS, stories and posts with accessible information, etc).
Talka's Instagram page
Talka is a tattoo artist specializing in 'New-School' style, hence the nature of the page is inherently colorful and vibrant, primarily featuring images of highly colorful tattoos and artwork.
In order to reduce the 'background noise' of the page, the first step was to unify the appearance of the cover images for the highlights stories. The primary color for the designs would be black, and the artist's unique 'spooky-cute' cartoon aesthetic would be expressed through a language of icons that align with her creative spirit.

In continuation the efforts to reduce the 'noise' on the Instagram page while preserving the artist's colorful character, it was necessary to establish a new consistent grid for uploading images to the page.
Unlike the images posted thus far, which featured varying crops and backgrounds from different locations, the new grid aims to provide a more uniform appearance for all the images (which differ significantly in color and shape) and to allow the tattoo itself to take center stage.

Client communication materials
The artist communicates with clients both personally (e.g. SMS, printed info pages) and publicly (informational stories and posts).
Since those elements do not appear closely alongside the tattoo images, it was decided to incorporate additional colors alongside the dominant black in the designs to maintain and express the joyful character of Talka's tattoos. The chosen colors are purple, pink, and turquoise, which are colors frequently used by the tattoo artist.
Color Palette
Color Palette
In addition to the color palette, all elements exclusively utilize original illustrations by the tattoo artist to preserve her unique style and provide representation for her aesthetics in the communications.
Some of the illustrations underwent a manual vectorization process  and color adjustments to fit the new selected graphic language.
